Our Mission

Family Advancement Ministries (FAM) Is a Catholic, diocesan, social service organization that, in partnership with the community at-large, nurtures a reverence for life by responding to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of families with the goal of moving families toward independence and self-sufficiency.

Family Advancement Ministries (FAM) is a helping hand. FAM is a Catholic non-profit agency, sponsored by the Diocese of Savannah. FAM focuses on assisting families through difficult situations with individualized support, aid and education. We serve all persons over 18 who are parenting preschool aged children, first time mothers, single parents and/or families generally in the Middle Georgia region.

Direct Services include clothing for children and expectant mothers, diapers, car seats, cribs and financial assistance for disconnects and evictions. Education Services include a variety of Parenting, Financial, Health and Safety Classes to empower our students to achieve and maintain their goals. We also have Hispanic Outreach which includes assistance with applications, interpreting services, education classes and more.
