Family Advancement Ministries (FAM) Is a Catholic, diocesan, social service organization that, in partnership with the community at-large, nurtures a reverence for life by responding to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of families with the goal of moving families toward independence and self-sufficiency.
Believing in the compassion of God, we affirm the sacredness of human life by guiding families in need to be hope-filled, empowered and self-sufficient.
Family Advancement Ministries (FAM) is a helping hand. FAM is a Catholic non-profit agency, sponsored by the Diocese of Savannah. FAM focuses on assisting families through difficult situations with individualized support, direct aid and education. We serve all persons over 18 who are parenting preschool aged children, first time mothers, single parents and/or families that reside in the Middle Georgia region.
Direct Services include clothing for children and expectant mothers, diapers, car seats, cribs and financial assistance for utility disconnection and evictions.
Education Services include a variety of Parenting, Financial, Health and Safety Classes to empower our students to achieve and maintain their goals.
Hispanic Outreach Services include assistance with applications, interpreting services, education classes and more.
